Netflix anuncia el estreno de una nueva serie documental hecha en Argentina, ARA San Juan: El submarino que desapareció, que estará disponible en el servicio desde el 7 de marzo a nivel global. Producida por Cactus Cine y Marcos Sacchetti, con la dirección de Mauricio Albornoz Iniesta, busca comprender qué fue lo que realmente ocurrió con el submarino que desapareció de todos los radares el 15 de noviembre de 2017 con sus 44 tripulantes a bordo, y que conmocionó a todo el país. “Nos motivó la necesidad de esclarecer las diversas hipótesis en torno a la desaparición del submarino ARA San Juan. Esta serie documental busca honrar la memoria de los 44 tripulantes fallecidos y la lucha de sus familias, quienes perseveran incansablemente en la búsqueda de respuestas”, señalan los productores Nicolás Carreras y Marcos Sacchetti.
A través de 8 episodios de media hora, se invita a la audiencia a reflexionar y explorar las distintas teorías que surgieron en torno a la desaparición del submarino ARA San Juan. El documental es el resultado de un trabajo de investigación que comenzó en 2017, y que presenta material de archivo, imágenes exclusivas y múltiples testimonios (algunos de ellos inéditos), que reconstruye una compleja trama de negligencias, encubrimientos, irregularidades e intereses ocultos en torno a este trágico evento.
