Sin embargo, en el reverso de esta moneda brillante se encuentra la oscuridad de la naturaleza humana. La desesperación puede llevar a algunos a cometer actos de egoísmo y crueldad inimaginables. El saqueo y la violencia pueden surgir en medio de la confusión y el miedo. En las peores circunstancias, la deshumanización de nuestros semejantes puede llevar a atrocidades que parecen inconcebibles en tiempos de calma.

Como un espejo que muestra el espectro completo de la condición humana, las grandes catástrofes naturales nos recuerdan que somos seres complejos, capaces tanto de la más noble compasión como de la más sombría crueldad.

En esta gran obra del cine coreano, su director Tae-hwa Eom, presenta una ciudad atestada de inmensos edificios que sufre un terrible terremoto. 

Solo un edificio queda en pie y allí comienza el dilema de la supervivencia. Elegir entre ser solidario o egoístas, entre los que son parte del edificio y los de afuera.

El director coreano trae esta película que posee un magnífico manejo de imágenes y de ritmo narrativo que mantiene atento al espectador.
