MUBI, la plataforma global de streaming, productora y distribuidora de películas, anunció junto con ArtHaus, el centro de creación contemporánea, la programación completa de la retrospectiva HUMOR Y MELANCOLÍA: EL CINE DE MARTÍN REJTMAN que se llevará a cabo del 7 al 9 de julio en ArtHaus. La retrospectiva contará con las tres primeras películas de la carrera del director, guionista y escritor argentino Martín Rejtman: RAPADO (1992), SILVIA PRIETO (1999) y LOS GUANTES MÁGICOS (2003), junto con actividades especiales. Los tres filmes serán proyectados en copias restauradas a 4K, con la colaboración del Museo del Cine de Buenos Aires.
Biografía Martín Rejtman:
Martín Rejtman estudió cine en la New York University. Antes de hacer su ópera prima, Rapado (1992), hizo dos mediometrajes: Doli vuelve a casa (1984-2004) y Sitting on a Suitcase (1986). Más tarde dirigió Silvia Prieto (1999); Los guantes mágicos (2003); el documental Copacabana (2006); co dirigió con Federico León Entrenamiento Elemental para Actores (2008); en 2014 dirigió el largometraje Dos disparos y en 2019 el cortometraje Shakti. En los últimos años se hicieron varias retrospectivas de sus películas (BAFICI; Pacific Film Archive, Berkeley, California; Festival de Valdivia; Harvard Film Archive; Jeonju International Film Festival, Corea del Sur; Lincoln Center, New York; Tabakalera, San Sebastián; Cinemateca Portuguesa; MUBI; entre otros). Además de director de cine Martín Rejtman es escritor. Publicó Rapado (Planeta, Buenos Aires, 1992), Treinta y cuatro historias (incluido en Un libro sobre Kuitca, 1993), Velcro y yo (Planeta, Buenos Aires, 1996), el guión de Silvia Prieto (Norma, Buenos Aires, 1999), Literatura y otros cuentos (Interzona 2005 / Random House Mondadori 2018), el texto de Entrenamiento Elemental para Actores (La Bestia Equilatera, 2012), y Tres Cuentos (Mondadori, 2012). En 2018 recibió el Premio Nacional de Cultura por el guión de la película Dos disparos. Entre 2020 y 2023 dirigió el documental El repartidor está en camino, y entre 2022 y 2023 el largometraje de ficción La práctica.
