Encuentro de Guillaume Esmiol, director del Marché du Film Festival de Cannes junto a Hernán Findling y Sabrina Farji. Por Nito Marsiglio.

La Academia de las Artes y Ciencias Cinematográficas de la Argentina estuvo presente en el Festival de Cannes con la participación de Hernán Findling (presidente) y Sabrina Farji (1ª vicepresidenta) quienes acompañaron todas las películas presentadas. La academia de Artes y Ciencias Cinematográficas acompañó a la delegación argentina y sus películas, demostrando el orgullo y la admiración que nuestro cine genera en todo el mundo. Este año en Cannes se destacó la relevancia del cine argentino, sus historias, cultura y talento.

Hubo una significativa presencia argentina. En la Semana de la Crítica se presentó “Simón de la Montaña”, ganadora del premio máximo de la Semana de la Crítica ópera prima de Federico Luis con Toto Ferro, que fue ovacionada por el público. En la Quincena de Cineastas, se destacó “Algo nuevo, algo viejo y algo prestado” de Hernán Rosselli, que recibió una excelente crítica en el diario Libération, y el cortometraje “Nuestra Sombra” de Agustina Sánchez Gravier. En la sección ACID, se proyectó “Los domingos mueren más personas” de Iair Said, producida por El Campo Cine. También se realizó la Premiere del excelente (y necesario) documental “Traslados” de Nicolás Gil Lavedra, basada en una idea de Zoe Hochbaum y producida por Orca Films.

En la sección Cinéma de la Plage, Thierry Fremaux dio inicio a la premiere de “Transmitzvah” de Daniel Burman, defendiendo el cine argentino en esta sección. Además, en Cannes Classics, se presentó “Rosaura a la diez” de Mario Soffici, con la presencia de Luis Alberto Scalella y Fernando Madedo de Argentina Sono Film.

Durante el festival, se realizaron entrevistas, y se establecieron contactos con festivales e instituciones internacionales, como el Festival de San Sebastián / Guadalajara / Toulousse/La Habana entre otros, Variety, Screen Daily :
