¿Qué pasó en Epecuén?
Villa Epecuén es el nombre de un pueblo turístico argentino en ruinas, ubicado en el partido de Adolfo Alsina, provincia de Buenos Aires. Situada a 7,3 km de la ciudad de Carhué, fue fundada en 1921 a orillas del lago del mismo nombre, y llegó a tener cerca de 1.500 habitantes, siendo un promedio de 25 mil turistas durante el verano. El lago Epecuén, uno de los 6 lagos que componen el sistema de lagunas encadenadas del oeste, se transformó en el balneario más exclusivo del país.
Era el destino de la moda de esa época y el lugar escogido para la aristocracia bonaerense como destino no solo para el ocio, sino también para curar enfermedades reumáticas y de la piel.Sus aguas altamente mineralizadas eran famosas por su similitud con las propiedades de Mar Muerto. Por esta razón, el agua termal ha tenido una función curativa y la OMS (Organización Mundial de la Salud) se incluye dentro de la medicina tradicional.
En 1985 una inundación provocada por una crecida del lago sumergió a la ciudad completamente bajo el agua, obligando a su evacuación total.

SINOPSIS
Noche de verano y lluvia torrencial en el cementerio municipal del pueblo de Carhue, en el límite con Epecuén, provincia de Buenos Aires. Dos empleadas del crematorio y su jefe se debaten ante una circunstancia que podría cambiar de forma radical el destino de sus vidas. Pero la llegada inesperada de diferentes personajes a la escena en cuestión, provoca que los mismos terminen estando aún más acorralados en sus propias decisiones y acciones.
