Dentro de la 20 edición del Festival Internacional de Cine de Derechos Humanos, en la Competencia Oficial de Documentales Latinoamericanos, se presenta del 1 al 7 de junio este documental que se demoró en salir a la luz pero valió la pena. Por Nito Marsiglio.
En el año 1982 el gran director Costa Gavras realiza una obra que a todos nos marcó: “Missing”. En plena dictadura de Pinochet, un padre, norteamericano, busca de forma desesperada a su hija desaparecida en Chile.
En un momento de la película, el embajador de Estados Unidos en Chile, justifica su postura neutral ante este tema diciendo que apoyar a Pinochet era parte de la política de su país que le permitía lograr el bienestar del que ellos, incluidos el padre de la chica desaparecida, disfrutaban.
Es precisamente en el contexto de la última dictadura militar, que gobernó Argentina entre 1976 y 1983, que emerge la relación perturbadora entre los nazis y los militares argentinos. Si bien no se puede generalizar la colaboración de los militares con los nazis, existen evidencias que sugieren la existencia de una red clandestina de protección y apoyo mutuo entre ambos grupos.
La actitud que presentó la Embajada de Alemania en Argentina fue mirar hacia otro lado y no se ocupó de defender a sus ciudadanos cuyos derechos habían sido avasallados en la Argentina.
En este documental ficcionado, se presenta a un ciudadano alemán de más de noventa años que trabajó para las fuerzas armadas argentinas y la embajada alemana y que sufrió la desaparición de un hijo por la dictadura militar en el año 76.
Por más que él tuvo una relación muy estrecha con el embajador, aun así, no logró que la embajada intercediera por la vida de su hijo que fue desaparecido y asesinado por la dictadura.
