Abierta la convocatoria hasta el 29 de febrero de 2024. Convocamos a directores de cine, realizadores, documentalistas, videoartistas que envíen su material con diversas miradas de África para el Festival Internacional de Cine Africano de Argentina que se realizará en agosto de 2024, en Buenos Aires, Córdoba y Neuquén (Argentina). Nito Marsiglio.

Se reciben obras de producción independiente realizadas en países de África o relacionadas con el continente africano, su gente y su diáspora.

También habrá una sección especial para producciones argentinas: Convocamos a realizadores de cine residentes en Argentina que envíen su material que visibilice la presencia y las expresiones culturales de las comunidades y/o personas afroargentinas, afrodescendientes y africanas en nuestro país.

Este Festival tiene como objetivo fomentar la cultura, la historia y la producción cinematográfica de realizadores africanos, afrodescendientes y producciones de autores de otras nacionalidades que a través de sus obras abran una ventana al mundo de las diferentes realidades de africanas/os y afrodescendientes.

Se llevará a cabo en salas de la Ciudad Autónoma de Buenos Aires (Auditorio de la Biblioteca Nacional, Alianza Francesa), Cineclub Municipal (Ciudad de Córdoba) y Museo Nacional de Bellas Artes (Neuquén). 

La inscripción para participar del Festival se hace por las siguientes plataformas:

La programación del Festival incluirá secciones competitivas y no competitivas. El material recibido de esta convocatoria también puede formar parte de nuestro Archivo de cine independiente para futuras muestras y ciclos.

Las categorías competitivas son:

Cortos y mediometrajes (hasta 40 minutos).

Largometrajes (superior a 40 minutos). 

Síntesis de las condiciones:

No hay gastos de inscripción para películas argentinas.

No hay límite de obras a presentar. No hay fecha límite de producción de la obra.

Envío de las copias a través de Vimeo, Dropbox, Wetransfer u otras plataformas de envío digital.

Obras subtituladas en español, preferentemente.

La inscripción en el Festival Internacional de Cine Africano de Argentina (FICAA)  implica la aceptación de las presentes bases y condiciones.
