Abuelas de Plaza de Mayo y el Instituto Nacional de Cine y Artes Audiovisuales (INCAA) invitan a la proyección de Argentina, 1985, de Santiago Mitre, dentro del ciclo “Cine por la identidad. 40 años de Democracia”, en el Auditorio de la Casa por la Identidad, ubicado en el Espacio Memoria y Derechos Humanos Ex ESMA (Av. del Libertador 8151, CABA), el jueves 6 de julio a las 18 horas. Luego de la función, se realizará una charla con Santiago Mitre, director y coguionista, y las actrices Alejandra Flechner y Leyla Bechara; la conversación será moderada por Manuel Gonçalves Granada, nieto restituido y director de la Casa por la Identidad.
El Ciclo, inaugurado el año pasado bajo el lema “Abuelas 45 años”, se extenderá hasta diciembre inclusive y prevé una proyección mensual con entrada libre y gratuita, hasta colmar la capacidad de la sala. En todos los encuentros habrá invitados especiales y representantes de Abuelas de Plaza de Mayo.
Argentina, 1985 narra el Juicio a las Juntas de la última dictadura cívico-militar, llevado a cabo durante la presidencia de Raúl Alfonsín. La historia está centrada en las figuras de los fiscales Julio César Strassera (Ricardo Darín) y Luis Moreno Ocampo (Peter Lanzani), y en las adversidades del contexto histórico y político que implicó enjuiciar a los máximos responsables de los crímenes de lesa humanidad. Fue nominada en la última edición de los Premios Oscar, ganadora de quince Premios Cóndor de Plata y galardonada, en 2022, con el Premio Goya a la Mejor Película Iberoamericana, el Premio Globo de Oro a la Mejor Película de Lengua no Inglesa y el Premio del Público en el Festival Internacional de Cine de San Sebastián, entre otros.
La segunda función será el jueves 3 de agosto con la proyección del documental “El juicio, de Ulises de la Orden”. La película sintetiza más de quinientas horas de material de archivo y registro audiovisual del histórico Juicio a las Juntas Militares, grabado por Argentina Televisora Color (ATC).
La Casa por el Derecho a la Identidad de las Abuelas de Plaza de Mayo es uno de los tantos edificios recuperados del predio donde funcionó uno de los Centros Clandestinos de Detención y Exterminio más emblemáticos de la Argentina, la Escuela de Mecánica de la Armada (ESMA). Hoy es un espacio de promoción del derecho a la Identidad.
