El Ministerio de Cultura de la Nación y el Instituto Nacional de Cine y Artes Audiovisuales (INCAA), en articulación con el Museo Malvinas e Islas del Atlántico Sur, presentan una función homenaje dedicada al cineasta y productor Jorge Denti (1943-2022), con la proyección de su documental Malvinas: historia de traiciones, el próximo sábado 8 de julio a las 15 horas en el Museo, ubicado en Santiago de Calzadilla 1304, CABA. La exhibición, organizada en el marco del Ciclo Cine, Malvinas y Democracia, contará con la presencia del ministro de Cultura de la Nación, Tristán Bauer; el presidente del INCAA, Nicolás Batlle; y el director del Museo, Edgardo Esteban.
Malvinas: historia de traiciones es un valioso documento para la memoria histórica que hace hincapié en los motivos políticos, económicos y sociales que llevaron al conflicto bélico. Estrenada en 1984, se trata de la primera película argentina sobre la guerra de Malvinas y fue realizada por Jorge Denti durante su exilio mexicano.
El largometraje incluye testimonios de excombatientes de Argentina y Gran Bretaña, y está dedicado a Raymundo Gleyzer, cineasta desaparecido durante la última dictadura militar y fundador del grupo Cine de la Base, del que Denti formó parte. El documental incluye, además, imágenes de las islas registradas por Gleyzer en 1966.
