“De mi ansiedad a tu felicidad”, es un documental basado en el exitoso libro homónimo del Rabino uruguayo Gabriel Benayon, quien inventó un método para combatir uno de los más grandes flagelos que enfrenta el mundo moderno, los ataques de ansiedad y pánico. Por Nito Marsiglio.

El film invita a conocer por primera vez, la intimidad de Jabad Lubavitch, su sede central en New York y la tumba del “Rebe de Lubavitch”, derribando mitos y prejuicios del movimiento más importante del judaísmo, de la mano de un Rabino muy poco ortodoxo.

“De mi ansiedad a tu felicidad” es un viaje emocionante por Nueva York, Miami, Buenos Aires y Panamá, que muestra el sufrimiento y la superación de personas que lucharon contra la ansiedad, incluyendo al propio Rabino, quien propone una forma diferente de ver la vida y encontrar la felicidad.

BIO GABRIEL BENAYON: Gabriel Benayon nació en Uruguay y comenzó su formación desde muy temprana edad, ya a los 17 años inició sus estudios en la institución de estudios rabínicos Tomchei Tmimim Lubavitch con el objetivo claro de ser Rabino y ayudar a la comunidad. Estudió en la Argentina, Chile, Israel y en los Estados Unidos.  Además, tiene un diplomado en Terapia cognitivo conductual de la Universidad José Martí de Guadalajara. Está casado con Nechama Dina desde hace 20 años y es padre de 7 hijos. Es autor de cuatro libros; “De mi ansiedad a tu felicidad”, “SOS Sufrir o sanar”, “Conectad-os” y “La pluma de mi alma”.

Desde 2004, fue rabino del Centro Comunitario Beth-el, de Panamá, dando conferencias y clases de Torá y atendiendo las necesidades de los miembros de la comunidad. Además, colabora en la inserción de los inmigrantes que llegan al país, especialmente la juventud.  En 2008, abrió un Instituto de enseñanza preescolar, Mitzva tots, con más de cien niños en su matrícula anual.

Hoy, radicado en Miami, se dedica a una de las tareas más gratificantes para él que es ayudar a las personas que sufren emocionalmente.

La película “De mi ansiedad a tu felicidad” está basada en el último libro de Benayon, el cual describe una etapa de su vida, (2001) donde a partir de una situación de riesgo en su familia, convive con la ansiedad, sus sensaciones y síntomas. A partir de esta experiencia desarrolla un método basado principalmente en los estudios religiosos y místicos del judaísmo (la Torá y la Kábala) con gran conexión con las herramientas que la terapia cognitivo conductual proponen.
