La historia de Margarita Di Tullio, la mujer del hampa más famosa de la Argentina que se convirtió en uno de los mitos más populares del país, tendrá su versión en pantalla grande de la mano de la galardonada directora Lucía Puenzo y protagonizada por Luisana Lopilato quien también es productora del filme. La escritura del thriller, liderado por Lucía Puenzo junto con Andrés Gelós y Tatiana Mereñuk, cuenta el derrotero de Margarita Di Tullio, la famosa criminal que revolucionó el negocio de la prostitución al rescatar y empoderar a mujeres vícitmas de trata y se transformó en leyenda luego de un triple crimen en defensa de su familia.

Interpretar la historia de Pepita es un deseo en el que vengo pensando y trabajando desde hace varios años, y más para debutar en el rol de productora ejecutiva. Además el plus de trabajar con Lucía Puenzo, que es una directora por la que siento admiración por su trayectoria.”
En 1985, una madre de un recién nacido mata a tiros a tres delincuentes que irrumpen en su casa. El caso se vuelve híper mediático y ella es bautizada “Pepita, la Pistolera”. Pero no es la mujer inocente y vulnerable que todos creen. Antes de convertirse en asesina, Margarita Di Tullio ya era una ladrona profesional y una maestra del engaño. También, la madama más glamorosa de Mar del Plata en un mundo dominado por hombres. El triple crimen sólo hace crecer el mito de esta reina del hampa, la mujer más famosa de la historia criminal argentina.
